How does it work?
The sarahaccp.com case study
sarahaccp.com is an online platform that supports and streamlines HACCP processes in the restaurant industry. Among other functionalities, it allows restaurants to print labels for food packaging.
In the restaurant, a label printer that connects to the local network and exposes a label printing web service is installed. Then sarahaccp.com, either directly from the server, or from the user's browser, calls the printing web service.
Exposes a public, secure and protected endpoint.
Installed in a machine in the private network, initiates a connection to p2prox.io, and listens for calls to forward to the label printer.
All communications on the public network are done through HTTPS, even if the service on the private network is only accessible through HTTP.
Enforced and managed by p2prox.io.
